Haven for the Heartbroken

someday...

The controversy surrounding Pro-Ana is this: personal freedoms vs. mental health.  As an American, I can say that people have the right to destroy themselves if they so desire.  However, I hate to see it happen to anyone.  People who are against Pro-Ana often don't know what they're talking about, but those who do know that it is not about advertising death or unhealthy habits.  No one wants to watch someone they love slip away, and everyone knows what it's like to lose a loved one.  So, should Pro-Ana be banned from the Internet?  I personally do not believe so, as the freedom of speech is my right.  The freedom of peaceful assembly is my right.  As an individual, especially as an American, I have rights.  The problem is these so-called "wannarexics" who plaster the Internet with issues they know nothing about.  It is always better to love or hate something for what it is, and not what someone told you it is... if that makes sense to anyone else.  I know that not everybody shares my beliefs.  If you don't agree with me, then feel free to contact me either in the guest book or the Chatterbox, and we'll talk in a civilized, "grown-up" fashion.
